My First Candle Event
Sip and Shop : Casting Spells and Candle Smells
10.29.23
my first candle event was a success and i couldn’t have been happier with how it all came together.
… although, it would have been nice if that evening’s cold front showed up 12 hours sooner.
first off, there’s no way i could pull something like this off by myself, especially with only three weeks of planning! i am so fortunate to have an incredible circle of individuals in my life, who back me in more ways than one. my heart is brimming with gratitude for all of your help, time, and most of all, your support.
for anyone who attended and/or helped me with this event, i can’t thank you enough! it was a lot of work to do in a short amount of time, but it was so worth it!
also, if you did, thank you for taking the time to fill out a smell sheet! it was fun reading them and your feedback was more than helpful. i’ve already learned so much. i’m glad i decided to make those “a thing” and i plan on using them at future events.
i hope everyone who attended, enjoyed this event as much as i did. i look forward to the next!

“Candles have a certain magic about them.
They have an uncanny power to bring people together.
In their presence, conversations flow easily,
laughter fills the air, and memories are made.”
my favorite part of this long, though very anticipated day, was when the evening drew to a close;
not because it was over, but because i found myself sitting at a beautifully decorated table, surrounded by most of my favorite people in this earthly realm. it’s rare for most of us to be together in one place, for so long, but when the universe allows, unforgettable moments occur and the stories will be retold for years to come.
the cool air was filled with blood - thirsty mosquitoes, the smell of burning sage, and the sound of our obnoxious laughter, which continued well after the event was over. the vibes were high as we sat to enjoy a celebratory drink… which then turned into a late dinner. moments like these are dressed in magic and are forever cherished.
thank you for being a part of a truly significant moment in my life. your support and belief in me and this new journey means the world to me.
