third coast is blended with some beachy vibes and also a bit of inspiration from my mom and one of her favorite songs.

my mom loved larry joe taylor’s music. she loved ending her day, just sitting on the couch, with his music turned up. simple things like that made her happy. she and her husband had seen larry in concert a few times and he even performed at their wedding. i know she was over the moon about that.

late one evening, i was pouring a batch of candles. larry joe taylor's “third coast,” began to play on my spotify.
i smiled as i remembered how much she enjoyed those evenings on the couch. i listened to the words and thought to myself, "this is a damn good song! ...and perfect for a candle label."

thanks, mom. i got the message.
